Topic: The Importance of Early CPR/AED for Victim Survival
Speaker: Grant Roberts 

I am currently a Battalion Chief and Paramedic at Oklahoma City Fire Department, along with consulting and training in the corporate world. My primary areas of consulting and instruction are emergency action plans (EAP) for medical, fire and evacuations. Other areas of instruction include:

  • Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Automatic external defibrillators (AED)
  • First Aid
  • Peer Support/Critical Incident System Management (CISM)
  • Bloodborne pathogens (BBP)
  • Fire awareness/safety
  • Incident Command Awareness (ICS)
I joined the Oklahoma City Fire Department February 3rd, 1995, and currently a Battalion Chief that covers the downtown area of Oklahoma City. When promoted to Sergeant, I became a Training Officer for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division and became an EMS/Fire Instructor. I was licensed as a Paramedic in May of 1994 and worked 8 years for Midwest City Ambulance service.
