David Todd is a life long resident of Oklahoma City. He received a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. After college, he worked several years for the Public Works Department of the City of Oklahoma City. He left the City of Oklahoma City in 1994 and eventually formed his own consulting firm, Todd Engineering.

Todd Engineering specialized in Civil Engineering, including roadway, utility and storm sewer design. They also designed many subdivisions and commercial sites. After 17 years, David sold the assets of Todd Engineering and went back to the City of Oklahoma City to manage the MAPS projects.

David has been active in the community for many years  including serving on the board of directors for the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, the Greenbriar YMCA and others. He is past chairman of the board of directors for the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, the Oklahoma City branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Oklahoma Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
