Speaker: Karen Carney, Public Information & Marketing Manager - Will Rogers World Airport
Topic:  Update on the Airport construction/renovation project

Karen Carney has worked as Public Information and Marketing Manager for Oklahoma City’s Department of Airports for 22 years.  Karen handles the marketing for the Department’s three airports, as well as air service development, advertising and public relations.  She also handles media relations and acts as the Department’s spokesperson.

From 2006 to 2009, Karen took a short break from the airport and worked as Marketing Manager for Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics, and Science Museum Oklahoma but missed the dynamic environment of the airports and returned in November of 2009.  Prior to her career at the airport she was a copywriter and video producer for eight years at Ackerman McQueen Advertising.

Karen is a native Iowan but moved to Oklahoma in 1980 and became the co-host of a new concept show called PM Magazine.  After 39 years she can officially call herself an Okie.  And as any good PR person worth her salt, roots for both OU and OSU.
