I grew up and graduated high school in Marion, Iowa.  I spent two years in the Navy Reserve.  I worked for Wilson Foods Corporation from 1962-1984 ending up as Manager of Real Estate and Insurance.  The company was downsizing and I felt that I needed more of a challenge so I went into Property Management.  In 1984 I went to work for the Horne Company out of Houston managing the Midland Center plus a warehouse building.  In 1987 I moved to Bank of Oklahoma Plaza (formerly Fidelity Plaza) for Swearingen Management.  Dolores McNiven became my assistant and started a long time friendship.  After 5 years, Dolores' job was scaled back and I went to work directly for the property owner, Sentinel Real Estate out of New York City. In addition I managed the Marathon Oil Building for Corporate Realty Income Fund.

In 1997 I moved to Memphis with my wife Kathi working for Trammell Crow managing a lot of different properties for the next 6 years.  Kathi and I came back to OKC and I went back to work for Corporate Realty Income Fund again managing the Marathon Oil Building which later sold to Mercury Insurance.  For the next couple years worked for both companies and traveled to San Antonio every week until that building was sold.  I spent another year with Mercury Insurance and then six months with PM Realty managing Atrium Towers until that property also sold.

I married Kathi in September 1967 and we were together until her death in 2008.  We adopted two girls who are now 38 and 40 and I have two granddaughters ages 6 and 8 years old.

Since my retirement I have been doing a lot of traveling and plan to continue until I run out of money.  At that time I will move into public housing and let you all take care of me.
