Joanna Lee - Stryker Integrated Solutions

I’ve been in the service industry for 13 years and counting. Customer service has always been a passion of mine. A lot of those years, I’ve served in the janitorial industry and just recently made a big change into the fire alarm and security side. Adventures are a great revenue for new knowledge. Learning how it all comes together in the end is a great prize.

I always welcome new challenges because they are a great tool to conquer and perfect new tasks. Volunteering for the BOMA Golf tournaments for the past 6 years have taught me a great deal of all kinds of skills. 2 out of the 6 years, I’ve assisted with the volunteers. I’ve improved on my organization skills, multitasking skills and communication. I’ve loved being a part of such a big event. Being able to guide members, non-members, volunteers and the teams to their designation and to make everyone feel comfortable was amazing.

I’ve discovered something new about myself. I believe that I am a server. What I mean by that is, given the opportunity to help someone to the best of my abilities, I know I’ve made a positive impact. By assisting that person(s) with a situation and being able to make it easier. Because I have taken that burden from them to come up with a better solution. Knowing that I’ve done my job as a project manager or as a sales rep or just as a friend, I’ve served my purpose. It’s a huge accomplishment for both sides.

My goals are to help people. Make people feel that they are welcome…and to have fun! With BOMA, I get to do a lot of that with the encounters and interactions with current and new members. I get to give and gain new knowledge and resources. I am motivated to put forth the effort to help BOMA OKC with current members as well as new members. To help make everyone feel that they are part of a huge family; a growing family. I would love to help make BOMA OKC a very welcoming organization here locally and would like to make that impression when it’s our time to shine in 2020 SW Conference as well!
